Houston, TX, USA

Dear SH members and friends,

Case submission for the SH-EA4HP 2023 Workshop in Houston, TX is now open!

On behalf of the Society of Hematopathology (SH) and European Association for Hematopathology (EA4HP), I would like to invite you to Houston, Texas, to attend the 2023 SH/EA4HP Workshop from November 9th to 11th. This will be the 3rd time MD Anderson has the privilege of organizing the SH/EA4HP Workshop. We would like to express our gratitude to the SH to entrust us with this responsibility. We look forward to meeting you in person to sharing knowledge and discussing the latest advances in the diagnosis and classification of T- and NK-cell lymphomas.

This workshop aims to comprehensively review the clinicopathological and molecular features of nodal and extra-nodal T- and NK-cell lymphomas. Our main interest is to provide a unique forum to address frequently encountered diagnostic problems and highlighting novel and emerging biomarkers. An exciting aspect for this workshop will be the application of genomic profiling to a set of selected cases with the goals of molecularly defined subgroups inside the T-cell lymphoma subtypes and provide a molecular diagnosis using gene expression profiling. We expect to share the molecular classification and genetic profiling during the workshop. The workshop will cover also T-cell leukemias and other T/NK neoplasms with peripheral and bone marrow involvement as well as T- and NK- lymphoblastic leukemias/lymphomas, specifically those that overlap with mature T-cell lymphomas.

We are preparing an exciting scientific and social program for all that we hope you find of interest. Our goal is to make sure that you will enjoy this meeting, both scientifically and socially. We have invited faculty and speakers that include internationally renowned hematopathologists, oncologists, dermatopathologists and researchers to address the most recent issues in the biology, diagnosis and classification of T-and NK-cell neoplasms.

The meeting venue will be in the Houston Theater District (Downtown). This area is the home of nine major performing arts organizations and six performance halls, with numerous restaurants, parks, and the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts. The Museum district is nearby and includes multiple museums and galleries, including the museum of fine arts, one of the largest art museums in the US. For those that enjoy basketball, the Toyota Center (the home of the Houston Rockets) is also a walking distance . Updates on the workshop will be regularly provided on the homepage. CME-Continuing Medical Education will be provided. Please make plans to join colleagues and friends in Houston for this exciting workshop.

See you in Houston in November 2023!

Cordially,

Francisco Vega, MD, PhD
