Welcome to the EAHP

Healing is a matter of time, but it is sometimes also a matter of opportunity.

Hippocrates

The European Association for Haematopathology is a professional society aimed to study diseases of the haematopoietic and lymphoid systems and to promote the exchange and dissemination of knowledge concerning the diagnosis and treatment of these diseases. The EAHP was founded in 1988 in Geneva and has since been active in organizing bi-annual meetings and workshops for its members and many other interested professionals. Educational workshops and meetings have been supported all over the world. The membership of EAHP consists of hematopathologists, general pathologists with a special interest in hematopathology, residents and fellows in hematopathology, immunologists, molecular biologists, cytogeneticists and researchers with various backgrounds who together create a lively community for discussions and exchange of ideas. EAHP not only has members from all over Europe, but also many of its members come from Asia, North and South America, Africa and the Middle East and Australia and New Zealand.

Here at the EAHP website, members will have access to an ever growing archive of educational materials, including proceedings from prior meetings and workshops.
While the XXth EAHP-SH Symposium and Workshop is now taking place as a virtual meeting from April 24th to 29th 2021, we are already looking forward to the next exciting SH/EAHP workshop to be held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in November 2021. Planning is already underway for the XXIth meeting in September 2022 that we expect to take place in Florence, Italy and where we hope to meet our friends and colleagues once more in real life. We look forward to seeing you all at these wonderful events!

Finally, if you have any suggestions or comments for EAHP, please do not hesitate to reach out to our secretariat.

Sincerely,

Daphne de Jong and Leticia Quintailla-Fend,
leaving and incoming Presidents of the European Association for Haematopathology
