23rd Meeting of the European Association for Haematopathology | 3-8 October 2026 Berlin, Germany

The past meeting was a great experience and a huge success for our association. The next meeting will take place at the Congress Centre Kosmos, Berlin in Germany. We are preparing an exciting program including the networking dinner, so don’t miss it!

The overarching theme for the Berlin 2026 lymphoma symposium/workshop will be “The microenvironment of lymphoma and lymphoproliferations”. The board is currently working intensively to delineate a timely and interesting scientific program. This will include the following 5 sessions:
- Microenvironment and B-cell lymphoma
- Microenvironment and T-cell lymphoma
- Microenvironment and Hodgkin lymphoma
- Microenvironment and immune privilege sites
- Recent advances
The corresponding lymphoma workshop is entitled ‘Lymphomas with prominent immune microenvironment’, with the following 5 sessions:
- Nodal and extranodal T-cell lymphomas with prominent histiocytes, e.g. Lennert lymphoma, ALCL, associated with HLH; excluding cutaneous lymphoma
- B-cell lymphomas with prominent histiocytes, e.g. T-cell/histiocyte-rich large B-cell lymphoma (THRLBCL),THRLBCL-like lymphomas including Epstein-Barr virus positive diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (EBV+ DLBCL) and nodular lymphocyte -predominant Hodgkin lymphoma/ nodular lymphocyte predominant B-cell lymphoma (NLPHL/NLPBL) pattern E, other aggressive or small B-cell lymphomas with granulomatous reaction
- Immune privileged site lymphomas excluding primary DLBCL of CNS and testis (i.e. primary lymphomas of the ovary, adrenal gland, breast, meninges)
- Unusual cases of classical Hodgkin lymphoma, including lymphocyte-rich CHL and lymphocyte-depleted CHL, CD30 negative CHL, CHL with cytotoxic phenotype, TFH cell rich
- Primary mucosal or cutaneous CD30+ T-cell lymphoma/LPDs; incl. LYP, cutaneous ALCL

Inclusion criteria: 1 HE slide, only cases with the guarantee of enough residual material for ancillary testings. Panel meeting is scheduled for April 16-19 2026 in Berlin.

The congress will submit its application for the granting of European CME credits (ECMEC®s) by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®).
